Savas Poursanidis – Solo Exhibition
Born in Thessaloniki, where he lives and works. Graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, School of Visual and Applied Arts in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Dimitris Kontos’ workshop (1987-1993) In 1985, he initiated the large cycle of his work, using the divine proportions of the golden section as the main structural element. In 1998, he enriched his studies with the perspective of anamorphosis, which he completed in 2004.
From 2006 until today, he has been engaged in the work that is being presented here under the general title “Unplugged”, and which he intends to exhibit for the first time. It involves compositions with charcoal, on special handmade canvas prepared by the artist himself. For the last twenty years he has been teaching drawing and color to forthcoming students of the Faculty of Fine Arts. He has participated in five group exhibitions so far, where he presented a sample of his studies.
One of those exhibitions was held in the Center of Contemporary Arts “Vellidis”, in Thessaloniki, in 1987. In 2011 he participated in ART – ATHINA, International Meeting of Modern Art, with his work “Guartet” in cooperation with GALLERY ARTFORUM
